I am captivated with material practice and will forever question our built environment and sculptures’ role in it. My interest lies at the intersection of art and architecture and is process-driven, research-based, collaborative and participatory. Outcomes often take the form of public interventions that challenge conventional perceptions within public spaces. In my design approach I explore simple material relationships and utilize auto construction techniques, focusing on spontaneity, resourcefulness, and hints of absurdity. I translate large-scale concepts into smaller, more manageable forms, enabling me to explore ideas of autonomy and freedom; dreaming up unexpected ways to interact with the world.
